Coyn is a planet in the Coyn system and the homeworld of the Coynites. It is located in Elrood sector, where the Coyn Route met the Elrood-Derilyn Run. The capital is the city of En'Tra'Tal, or "King-City". Forests, marshes, and plains broken by simple mountain ranges covered this beautiful planet. Coyn is defended by their space fleet, Coyn'Skraj'Ha.
En'Tra'Tal - En'Tra'Tal was the capital city of the planet of Coyn. Translated into Basic, the name meant "King-City." En'Tra'Tal contained the Rols'Kus or "Arena of the Games" and the Arquas'Tais, the "Land of Fallen Ones of Valor", was located just outside the city. En'Tra'Tais or "Kingland" was a stellar class spaceport and largest on the planet that was also located in the city.
Im'Tra'Tal - Im'Tra'Tal was a city located on the planet of Coyn. The spaceport Im'Tra'Tais or "Princeland", the most luxurious on the planet, was located in this city as well.
Kra - Kra is a city located on the smallest continent of the planet Coyn. The spaceport Kra'Tais or "Craftersland" is located in this city as well.
Kra'Tais - Kra'Tais is the spaceport located in the city of Kra on the planet Coyn. Its name translated as "Craftersland" in the Coynite language.
Kroyn'Tal - Kroyn'Tal was a city located on the planet of Coyn. The spaceport Kroyn'Tais or "Warriorland" was located in this city as well. Kroyn'Tal also contained the main Imperial Army base for the planet as well, although the Galactic Empire's presence in the system was minimal.
Rols'Kus - The Rols'Kus is a 250,000-seat arena that was located on the planet of Coyn. It is the site of the immensely popular kus'nar gladiatorial games of the Coynites. Since Coynites view these combats as sport, they were not to the death unless the loser was unwilling to submit to his opponent. Of course, most combats did last until one of the recipients received a very serious injury, so most "cultured" beings viewed these combats as barbaric.
There are games every night, and during holidays day-long contests and championships were held. As a rule, off-worlders are not usually featured in these combats. Coynites viewed participation in the games as an honor, and many young warriors focused their dreams on being named Tawws'Kroyn, "Most Honorable Champion Warrior." Most of the contests were brawling or melee combats, though there was a target shooting contest for archaic guns, blasters, and bows. Each game was played in a series of elimination rounds. The arena itself was climate controlled and equipped with a holo projection system so that each patron had a perfect view of the action.
During the reign of the Galactic Empire, General Afren Hul, the governor of the planet Derilyn, had an arena called the Arena of Games constructed on Derilyn, which was a copy of the Rols'Kus. On Coyn, many Coynites viewed the new arena with hostility, because they believed that by copying the Rols'Kus, Hul was mocking their combative system of honor.
Tangak Tangaks are carnivorous predators native to the planet Coyn. They are considered to be a highly unintelligent yet very dangerous species. They have a shaggy coat of fur and moved about on two legs. Tangak's are surprisingly agile for their immense size, and they could easily blend into their surroundings. Although Tangak's preferred to eat the six-legged tris, there were several documented accounts of them attacking young Coynites.
