Gum E. Bear is a decker working to protect Max Foley's system while the
credits are still coming in.

Bear is just hired help. If he loses sight of the opoosing decker
or is taling to much of a beating, he will not go to great lengths to
protect max's system. He will jack out and start the shutdown. he is not
getting paid enough to worry about what the invader might do in the time
it takes the system to wind down.
