Shadowrun RPG Maria Mercurial's Condo

Maria owns a penthouse condo on the 48th floor of the Star Gardens Endominium, a high security condominium building in downtown Seattle. The price tag was about 1.5 million credits. This is a typical luxury establishment.

All interior walls are Normal Impact Plastic or its equivalent (Barrier Rating 5). The ceiling is four meters high, with the overall ambiance light, spacious, and comfortable.

One odd note of this place is that the household controls all have keyboards, or keypads attached. They have datajacks as well. This is atypical for 2050.

Campaign Overviews

1. The Landing - The building stairs, the passenger elevator, and a freight elevator all exit into this area.
2. Corridor - This corridor is scanned by security cameras, both building security and the tri-vid in the appartment can monitor. When Maria entertains, this area can be set up to hold a bar, buffet, and so on. Where the runners store their gear when visiting.
3. Spare Room - This room contains a closet to one side.
4. Living Room - The centrepiece of the room is a large, circular conversation put, revolving around a raised, open fireplace with a hood type chimney over it. Maria is a strong supporter of ecological groups, and so she does not burn anything in the fireplace. It radiates infra-red head and has a selection of holographic fires it can project, from low-burning coals to a cheery, snapping blaze. A large vid screen (dotted lines) that rises from floor to ceiling dominates the north wall of the room. To the left of the screen stands a complex tri-vid console. The unit has a large collection of vids, trids and sounds, plus every gimmick and gizmo to be found in a home entertainment centre except simsense, which is odd. A fully stocked autobar stands in the southwest corner of the room. Comfortable chairs are scattered here and there. The eastern wall of the room consists of floor to ceiling glass panels, any or all of which can slide up into the ceiling. They can be set for transparency or dimmed to opacity. The windows wall looks out onto the guarden, area 5.
5. Garden - This lovely rooftop garden is shaded by trees and dotted with flowerbeds and potted shrubs. A swimming pool occupies almost half of it. A roomy whirlpool is built into a corner of the area. A smaller trid equipped with autobar and snack dispenser, is against the southern end of the window wall.
6. Kitchen - This is a well-stocked kitchen, with deep-freeze, autorange microwave, and all manner of cooking toys. Maria has a hired household staff most of the time, but when she is on her own, her tastes are simple. Large jars of peanut butter and grape jelly are standing out on a cutting board, along with a half-loaf of protobread.
7. Utility Room - here is located the circuit breaker, heating/AC unit, water heater and so on.
8. Formal Dining Room - A smaller breakfast nook, connected to the kitchen by a small serving hatch, is set up in the northern end of the room.
9. Small Parlor - For more intimate entertaining than the living room allows.
10. Guest Room - The bathroom is equipped with all the comforts, including a VibraSkrub sonic "shower".
11. Storage Area - Assorted odds and ends, cleaning supplies, and household servo units (automated vacuum cleaner, mopper, sweeper).
12. Maria's Bedroom - A very powerful trid unit is next to the bed. Several dressers line the walls. A small, tidy desk stands just inside the door, with a computer terminal on it. A concert quality Muzeeka 9000 Sythlink unit stands in the northern corner of the room. Next to it, in a looked, air-conditioned case, is a beautiful acoustic guitar, a 1965 Martin, with rosewood inlays. it is worth at least 25,000 credits on the collector's market.
13. Recoding Studio - This is a fully equipped recording studio, with all the high-tech tools available to the recording artist in 2050. sythlink interface, serveral top-of-the-line music generators, a Mitsuhama BandBox sythesizer, laser tech CD Recorders and a Konzert Acoustic Modulator, which can give this room acoustical qualities ranging from an intimate night club, to a full-sized concery hall. There is something like half-a-million credits worth of gear in here.
14. Private Garden - This is Maria's getaway spot, itis laid out in Japanese style, but all the vegetation is from Central America.
15. Gymnasium - This workout room is fully equiped with the latest Sendai-Nautilus Programmable Resistance equipment. PowerCycle Aerobic Station, Shiatsu-Matic massage nit, and a cyberware diagnostic and maintenance unit. A mat suitable for floor exercises, martial arts practice, and so on convers the floor in the western half of the room. Against the west wall is a complex holo-projector. This is a custom pistol range generator. In a cabnet at the far end of the room are stored several pistols that tie into the generator's computer. They are "fire safe" laser pulses that the system will register. This little toy allows Maria to simulate numerous firearms practice scenarios from range fire to running gun battles.
