This adventure is geared towards a party that includes a divine character
such as a priest or a Paladin of good alignment. The deotee's patron has
summoned them, whether through visions or by missive from a high temple, to
perform a holy geas - a distant settlement being a sacred shrine to the
deity is in dire need of aid from a dark curse that had befallen their
home. Motivation to pursue completion of this quest can be either positive
(the promise of a favour or reward if accomplished), negative (revocation of
holy magic if refused), or both. Keeping in line with the personality of the
specific diety.
The underworld houses strange and unplesant communities, and the ruins of
two temple complexes are a perfect example of religious hubris copming before
a fall.

monolith every full moon. Travelers have gone missing, guards sent to
investigate have not returned.
Visiting a desert-edge city, the PCs hear of a dig taking place at a recently
revealed ruins a dozen miles away. They've missed most of the excitement but
are asked to go help the wazir's daughter, a keen archeologist, because of their
expertise. With the words "Keep her safe" they are given a crossbow and three
packs of bolts.
The Halls of Hellfire is a former holy site and part of a fortress deep within
the rocky deserts of southern Ylaruam. It was seen as hallowed ground and revered
by the many nomadic clans that travelled those deep deserts. Indeed it eas once
seen by all as neutral ground, and ofter used to settle disputes, enjoy
celebrations and trade between themselves, but is now shunned. It is believed to
be one of the outposts of the Brotherhood of Shadow and may lead to clues as to
who its members contain.
